She shot Santa, no more gifts this year.

It all comes from a trauma she went through when she was little, she stopped getting presents from Santa at age 7 because her parents could not afford to sponsor it anymore. She took it as a message that she is a terrible human being and lived among depression for years. Now she realized that all the suffering years happened because Santa is an actual cheapskate and didn't want to pitch in anything. Now he's dead, serves him right. Remember kids, buy yourself your own gifts.
